The master reported engine-room damage that left the vessel disabled. Crew were reported safe; environmental impact was unknown at the time of the advisory.
The strike continues the engine-room targeting pattern seen in recent Hormuz/Musandam incidents and came hours after Washington framed new Iran pressure as an “economic D-Day” sanctions push. UKMTO advised vessels to transit with caution and report suspicious activity while authorities investigate.
