Wednesday’s dedicated board piece on this desk sat at 119 as at 21 October. The fatality line has not moved. What moved is the count by one, and two new named rows at the top of the table. IMO now prints SOYIA, IMO 9263916, dated 20 October, 30 nautical miles southeast of Al Faw, Iraq, damaged, no pollution; and CHLOE (MIVERVA V), IMO 9315367, dated 19 October, 121 nautical miles from the coast of Oman, damaged, no pollution. Those two lines are the first official IMO prints on the unnamed tanker that sat as Monday’s Warning 180-26 off Al Faw, and on the unnamed tanker that sat as Sunday’s Advisory 178-26 east of Duqm.

The count is an IMO product. It is not a UKMTO warning, not a JMIC Update 107, and not a rewrite of the dedicated 180-26 Al Faw PDF, the dedicated 178-26 Duqm PDF, or Wednesday’s 119-count piece. UKMTO’s recent-incidents board still ends at Warning 180-26 and Warning 179-26. Update 106 remains the last numbered public JMIC note, JMIC# 001 26, ICOD 181300 UTC 18 October, Hormuz SEVERE, Arabian Gulf SUBSTANTIAL, 153 incidents since 1 March on the JMIC counter. That is a different 153 from IMO’s 120. Masters who brief Thursday as Update 107, as UKMTO finally printing Soyia or Chloe on the original PDFs, or as a completed 16–22 October tape will have misread the instrument.

What the 22 October board actually adds

Wednesday’s page was 119 confirmed incidents, 24 dead, with AL DASMA, JIF BARRACUDA and LOYALTY as the operational namings of that snapshot and with ST3, GFS PRIDE, GFS GISELLE, AL SAADIYAT, DP WORLD KAVERI, KITION M, EVER VICT, AL MAQAM, ANGOLA PROSPERITY and PETRO DOLPHIN already on the sheet. Thursday’s page is 120. The increment is one confirmed incident. Two new named rows sit at the top of the table. That arithmetic is the same pattern Wednesday already flagged: the 114-to-119 jump added five confirmed incidents and printed only three new names. CHLOE now fills one of those two unnamed increment slots. One increment from that +5 is still unnamed on this public sheet. Do not invent it. Do not treat the +1 as a silent conversion of 176-26. That Mukalla LNG file is still not named on this board.

The first new row is SOYIA, IMO 9263916, 20 October, 30 NM southeast of Al Faw, Iraq, damaged, no pollution. That range matches dedicated Warning 180-26: unnamed tanker Attack, incident date 20 October 2026, 1830 UTC, source Master, time-late report, tanker struck by an unknown projectile 30 NM southeast of Al Faw, crew reported safe, no reported damage or environmental impact, transit with caution, authorities investigating. IMO does not print 180-26, a Master line, 1830 UTC, an unknown projectile, a crew-safe line or “time-late.” It prints damaged, no pollution. That is a tighter hull finding than the PDF’s “no reported damage,” and it matches the PDF on pollution. It is not a completed class survey. Arab Times Basra, Iran International and Reuters-Devdiscourse reprints of the numbered product remain colour. Do not collapse Soyia onto NEW ANDROS, IMO 9294252, 28 NM south-east of Al-Faw, already on the board from 9 September, or onto HERCULES STAR. Do not collapse it onto AL DASMA. That hull sits on the same 20 October date in the Strait of Hormuz, not 30 NM off Al Faw.

The second new row is CHLOE (MIVERVA V), IMO 9315367, 19 October, 121 NM from the coast of Oman, damaged, no pollution. That offset matches dedicated Advisory 178-26: unnamed tanker ADVISORY, incident date 19 October 2026, 1000 UTC, source Verified, tanker and military forces approximately 121 NM east of Duqm, Oman, subject to interaction as part of ongoing military activity, authorities aware, investigations ongoing. MSCIO Advisory 09-2026 reprints that Arabian Sea clock. IMO does not print 178-26, Duqm, military forces, an Advisory product or “interaction.” It prints damaged, no pollution. That is a hull finding the UKMTO PDF never made. Put the IMO name on the company file. Do not brief a UKMTO PDF that prints the hull. Do not move OCEAN MOLICA onto this row. Dedicated Advisory 163-26 remains the earlier Gulf of Oman tanker-and-military-forces file; JMIC later named that hull. Same formula, different sea.

The rest of Wednesday’s sheet is still there. AL DASMA remains 20 October, IMO 9653446, Strait of Hormuz, second attack, damaged, no pollution, with the 7 September first-attack row still on the board. JIF BARRACUDA remains 18 October, IMO 9345506, northeast of Khor Fakkan, damaged, no pollution, one seafarer injured. LOYALTY remains 16 October, IMO 9182306, 78 NM northeast of Al Jubail, damaged, no pollution. ST3 remains 16 October, IMO 9220964, 68 NM from Al Jubail, damaged, no pollution. GFS PRIDE remains sunk, no pollution. PETRO DOLPHIN remains two seafarers missing at Sohar Anchorage. CAPE DAO remains damaged, no pollution, one seafarer fatality, partially sunk. Cameroon Prosperity is still printed with the eight-digit IMO typo 93151598; the working seven-digit number on earlier dedicated files is 9315159. The fatality total is still 24. None of those rows is the 120-count move. The move is the one-incident increment and the Soyia and Chloe prints at the top.

Soyia is an Al Faw naming, not a Bukha rewrite

Warning 180-26 remains an unnamed PDF. Thursday is the first official IMO print on that northern-Arabian-Gulf geometry. UKMTO printed neither a ship name, an IMO number, a flag, a cargo grade, a projectile type, a fire, an STS nor an attacker. IMO prints Soyia, 9263916, damaged, no pollution, 30 NM southeast of Al Faw. Hold both official lines on damage. A DPA who briefs the PDF’s “no reported damage” as a completed survey will under-read IMO. A DPA who briefs IMO’s “damaged” as a UKMTO revision of 180-26 will over-read the PDF. The PDF has not been revised.

Open-register colour only, not an IMO flag or cargo print: Liberia-flag oil-products tanker, MMSI 636022477, call sign 5LIZ4, built 2004, about 182 metres, 28,517 gross tons, 47,094 deadweight. Register extracts name PEPOSO MARITIME SA as registered owner and HOLGER NAVIGATION CORP as commercial and ISM manager. That is a products tanker, not a VLCC and not a KOTC hull. Distinct from dedicated AL DASMA, IMO 9653446, Kuwait-flag, 109,719 dwt, on the 20 October Strait row and on this morning’s dedicated 179-26 Bukha piece. NAVAREA IX 396/26, 211500 UTC 21 October, remains the Al Dasma anchorage caution at 26-14.0N 056-04.6E, about 1.3 NM west of Bukha, cancelling 393/26. It is not a Soyia product. HYDROPAC 3064/26 remains wrap on that Al Dasma file.

Ambrey’s four-projectile Basrah STS water-impact colour remains industry colour. Do not merge it onto Soyia. UKMTO’s 180-26 line is “struck.” The STS splash is a water miss unless UKMTO or JMIC collapses the two. They have not.

Chloe is a Duqm-offset naming, not an Attack PDF

Advisory 178-26 remains an unnamed PDF and remains an Advisory, not an Attack warning. Thursday is the first official IMO print on that 121 NM Oman-coast geometry. IMO’s parenthetical “MIVERVA V” is the board’s spelling. Open-register colour only: IMO 9315367 is the 2007-built crude tanker previously traded as MINERVA V, about 333 metres, 161,176 gross tons, about 319,247 deadweight, Hong Kong-flag on current AIS extracts, MMSI 477228400, call sign VRXR7. That is VLCC-size. IMO does not print a flag, a former name correction, a military service, a boarding, a disablement or a heading. Stay with the board’s CHLOE (MIVERVA V) print and with the 121 NM Oman-coast offset. Do not replace UKMTO’s “east of Duqm” with a private range. Do not brief 178-26 as having been upgraded to an Attack product. The PDF is still an Advisory. IMO’s “damaged” sits beside that Advisory, not on it.

Iranian state-television colour on Thursday about seven oil tankers damaged overnight in the Strait is not this board. It is not a UKMTO 181-26. It is not an IMO increment beyond 120. Update 106 already treated earlier IRGC mine claims as unsubstantiated. Do not recast that colour as Soyia, Chloe, Al Dasma, or a new Hormuz tape.

Operational implications

For CSOs, Thursday is the first IMO sheet that names the Al Faw time-late tanker and the Duqm-offset tanker that UKMTO left unnamed. Charterers, P&I and war-risk underwriters who have been holding 180-26 and 178-26 as unnamed UKMTO products can now point to Soyia and Chloe on the IMO board. They still cannot point to UKMTO PDFs that print those names. They still cannot point to Update 107. The board’s pollution line on both new rows is “no pollution.” On Soyia that matches 180-26’s “no reported environmental impact.” On Chloe the PDF was silent on cargo and damage; IMO now prints both. IMO printed neither a refuge port, a return-to-passage, a wreck, a NAVAREA number, a crew casualty nor an attacker against either hull.

The 120-count is also a reminder of what IMO has not yet taken. Warning 176-26 remains an unnamed LNG tanker Attack off Al Mukalla. Warning 174-26 remains an unnamed PDF even though ST3 is on the board against the 68 NM Al Jubail geometry. Warning 179-26 remains an unnamed PDF even though AL DASMA is on the board against the 20 October Strait geometry; this morning’s dedicated 179-26 piece stays the Bukha Attack file. One increment from the 114-to-119 jump is still unnamed. A master’s pack that treats 120 as “the weekend and Wednesday tape is now official” will over-read the board. A pack that leaves Soyia or Chloe off the IMO sheet because the original UKMTO PDFs were unnamed will under-read it.

Replace the 21 October 119-count snapshot. Do not replace Update 106. ICOD remains 181300 UTC 18 October. Hormuz remains SEVERE. The Arabian Gulf remains SUBSTANTIAL. Soyia sits after that cut-off, in the northern Gulf, on a Master report UKMTO logged as time-late. Chloe sits after that cut-off, 121 NM off Oman, on an Advisory UKMTO logged as military interaction. IMO’s 120 is not JMIC’s 153. Do not recast 22 October as Update 107, a 178-26 or 180-26 PDF naming, a 176-26 conversion, a fatality-count move, a Cape Dao sink revision, a rewrite of Wednesday’s 119-count, a rewrite of this morning’s 179-26 or NVIC 02-26 pieces, or a Hormuz reopen.

What Operators Should Note

Log the 22 October IMO board, not a UKMTO naming. 120 confirmed incidents as at 22 October. 24 seafarers dead, unchanged from Wednesday’s 119-count. Replace the 21 October snapshot in the master’s pack. Do not replace JMIC Update 106. ICOD remains 181300 UTC 18 October. Hormuz remains SEVERE. Arabian Gulf remains SUBSTANTIAL. IMO’s 120 is not JMIC’s 153. There is no Update 107. There is no 181-26 on the UKMTO board.

Treat Soyia as an IMO print, not as a 180-26 PDF naming. IMO 9263916, 20 October, 30 NM southeast of Al Faw, damaged, no pollution. Dedicated Warning 180-26 remains an unnamed Master Attack, 1830 UTC, unknown projectile, crew safe, no reported damage or environmental impact on the PDF. Hold both damage lines. Open-register colour only: Liberia, products tanker, about 182 m, 47,094 dwt, call sign 5LIZ4. Not Al Dasma. Not New Andros. Not a Basrah STS miss.

Treat Chloe as an IMO print, not as a 178-26 PDF naming. IMO 9315367, 19 October, 121 NM from the coast of Oman, damaged, no pollution. Dedicated Advisory 178-26 remains an unnamed tanker-and-military-forces product, 1000 UTC, 121 NM east of Duqm. IMO prints damaged; the PDF does not. Board spelling is CHLOE (MIVERVA V). Open-register colour only: former MINERVA V, VLCC-size, about 333 m, about 319,247 dwt. Do not move Ocean Molica onto this row. Do not brief 178-26 as an Attack warning.

Leave 176-26 off this sheet, and leave one 114-to-119 increment unnamed. 176-26 remains the dedicated Mukalla LNG skiff. 174-26 remains an unnamed PDF; ST3 stays the dedicated 17 October ministry piece and the dedicated 20 October 114-count naming. 179-26 remains the dedicated 22 October 03:30 Bukha Attack; Al Dasma’s IMO second-attack row is wrap on Wednesday’s 119-count. Do not invent the still-unnamed increment from the +5.

Keep wreck, fire and anchorage cautions on the NAVAREA products. NAVAREA IX 396/26 is the Al Dasma anchorage caution, 26-14.0N 056-04.6E, about 1.3 NM west of Bukha, cancelling 393/26. NAVAREA IX 373/26 remains Pride. NAVAREA IX 380/26 remains Cape Dao, still “partially sunk” on this snapshot. Petro Dolphin remains two missing at Sohar; stay with the official 11/9/2 Indian count unless the flag or UKMTO revises it. Cameroon Prosperity still carries 93151598 on the board; working number 9315159.

Do not recast Thursday’s Iranian seven-tanker colour as this board. State-television claims of seven oil tankers damaged overnight in the Strait are not an IMO increment, not a UKMTO 181-26, and not Soyia or Chloe. Update 106 already treated earlier unsubstantiated mine claims as colour. Do not recast 120 as a Hormuz reopen or as a completed pollution survey.

Regulas Shipping will keep lining the IMO highlighted-incidents board against UKMTO numbered products and JMIC Update 106 so operators can treat Thursday’s 120-count and the new Soyia and Chloe prints as an IMO instrument, not as a UKMTO naming or a Hormuz reopen.

The International Maritime Organization’s highlighted-incidents board, as at Thursday, 22 October, now prints 120 confirmed incidents in the Strait of Hormuz and the wider Middle East, with 24 confirmed seafarer fatalities.
